Wheat grass juice is a magical drink with astonishing properties: it keeps away illnesses, cleans your body and gives you energy and helps boost your immune system. In addition, it contains all the minerals necessary for our organisms and vitamins, A, vitamin complex. B, C, E and K.

Excellent detoxifyer

Used in a raw food diets and not only, wheatgrass juice is an excellent detoxifier, facilitating the removal of excess toxins and fats from the body. Moreover, wheatgrass juice is one of the strongest liver detoxifiers, much better than carrot juice, for example.

Reduces premature aging

Wheatgrass juice contains up to 70% of chlorophyll, and that means protecting the body against carcinogenic factors. How does that happen? Chlorophyll contains enzymes and superoxide dismutase, an enzyme that contains copper and is found in mature blood cells. This enzyme helps, among other things, to prevent the premature aging process.

It has antiseptic properties

Chlorophyll’s antiseptic benefits have been praised and recognized since 1940. In an article published in the American Journal of Surgery, Dr. Benjamin Gruskin recommends chlorophyll for the following cases: removing unpleasant odors, wound healing, healing of skin grafts, healing ear infections, treating cervical inflammation, or reducing typhoid fever.

Improves the health and appearance of the skin

Wheatgrass juice makes your skin cleaner and brighter. Besides drinking it, this wonderful juice can be used as a natural cleanser. It is enough to pour the green juice over your body when bathing and let it act for 15 minutes. Then rinse with cold water.

How to prepare:

Take a few tablespoons of wheat and place in a jar. Rinse well with water, then let it soak in clean, spring water for 24 hours, while mixing it every now and then.

After 24 hours, rinse thoroughly, then drain the water and leave it for 3 days. In these 3 days, the wheat should be rinsed 3 times a day. After these 3 days the wheat should sprout.

From this point on, the wheat should be placed over a layer of natural potting spoil, over which another thin layer of soil is sprinkled. Add water abundantly in the morning, and in the evening just sprinkle or spray some more water over it. Slowly, the wheat will sprout and the grass will start to rise upward. After approximately 1 week, the grass will reach 10-15 cm – at this point it can be cut and squeezed. Add a handful of grass to a juicer in order to extract the juice.

Wheatgrass can also be found in the markets as a powder. The wheat grass powder – made from dry and sprayed wheat grass – is good, but it’s not as effective as fresh juice. Its efficiency level amounts to only 2% of the effectiveness of fresh wheat grass juice, consumed within 15 minutes of preparation.
