How to get a long lasting make-up

A heat-resistant makeup is the dream of any woman. But what do you do when your face is sweaty, your lipstick bleeds, and the foundation rubs off your skin? No need to panic! You just have to follow a few important steps and choose the right products.

Properly cleanse your skin

Proper skin care is the first step towards a lasting makeup. Thus, facial cleansing is essential both in the morning and in the evening. Before sleeping, remove the makeup with oil or cleansing milk, then rinse with warm water. In the morning, make sure you use a cleansing disk soaked into mycelial water to remove excess sebum.

Exfoliate and hydrate your skin

Exfoliated and well hydrated skin allows for better makeup maintenance. Exfoliate the skin, at least once a week, to get rid of the dead skin layers. It is advisable to apply a scrub made of sugar and olive oil, or honey. Finally, use a suitable moisturizing cream. If you have oily skin, use a shampoo.

Apply a primer as a base

Many women find using a primer very useful in the process of makeup, especially for the eye area. It is not a mandatory step but it uniformizes the color of the skin. Thus, by applying a primer on your face, your makeup can remain intact for even a whole day. The product is used after the moisturizing cream and before the foundation.

Use a foundation

The next step after you’ve primed your face is to apply the foundation. Put a few drops on your forehead, cheekbones, nose and chin, then stretch them evenly with a brush, sponge or fingers. If your skin tends to get oily, try to opt for a lightweight texture.

Fix the makeup

In order for your makeup to last the whole day, it is advisable to use a powder and a fixing spray. These products protect the skin from external factors and lock the makeup on your face, preventing it from rubbing off due to temperature or sebum. Always apply them over the foundation.

Lip care should not be neglected!

Take a few minutes to exfoliate and moisturize your lips. Lipstick applied to dry and cracked lips will not hide imperfections, but instead will make them even more visible. It is highly recommended to use a contour pencil and a brush to uniform the color. For a more intense and long-lasting color, after applying the lipstick, tamper with a napkin, then apply a new layer. The paper towel removes excess lipstick, and thus, your lips will have more volume and sensuality.
