Coffee is the drink that most of us like to start our day with. It gives us a great energy boost and chills us in the hot summer days, when drank cold, or perhaps, as a frappe. It seems that people who usually drink coffee seem to have a lower risk of diabetes and various types of cancer. Nonetheless, if you are looking for other healthy alternatives to coffee, here are the best options.

Matcha green tea

Matcha is the powder obtained by grinding green tea leaves. It is added to hot water, for a pleasantly flavored green tea. The presence of leaves increases the caffeine level to about the same amount of caffeine that a cup of coffee contains. Moreover, matcha provides a calming effect, thanks to the L-theanine amino acid it contains. In addition, the powder is rich in antioxidants, especially a subtype of those, called polyphenols.

Ginseng tea
