Clever tricks for having long, thick eyelashes

Long and thick eyelashes give the eyes a beautiful look, making them appear bigger. That’s why we often try to give our eyelashes volume — either by using mascara or extensions, or opting for effective tricks. Today we are going to have a look at these tricks, and find out what the best of them are!

Castor oil, extremely nourishing

Rich in essential fatty acids and vitamins, castor oil hydrates and nourishes the eyelashes, stimulating their growth. It also helps control microorganisms that make it harder to grow hair. Apply it in the evening, before bedtime, with a clean brush or a cotton dish, and let it work overnight. Rinse in the morning with warm water. You can mix it with a few drops of olive oil or coconut oil, to give your hair some added strength. For better results, repeat the procedure 2-3 times a week, several months in a row.

Hydration with aloe vera

Gel extracted from aloe vera leaves can help your eyelashes get thicker, because it is extremely rich in vitamins and nutrients. Mix a teaspoon of aloe vera gel with 2-3 drops of almond oil. Apply small amounts of the paste on your eyelashes, especially those of the upper eyelid, and let them act throughout the night. Rinse in the morning with warm water, gently massaging the eyelids. Repeat the procedure at least once a week, several months in a row.

Lemon peel, highly nutritive for the eyelashes

Rich in vitamin C and plenty of other nutrients, lemon peel helps the eyelashes by adding extra volume and luminosity. Mix a spoonful of lemon peel with a spoon of olive oil into a container. After a few hours, use a brush and apply the mixture on your eyelashes, as if you were using mascara. Let it act overnight, then rinse with water in the morning. Follow this remedy once a week, for a few weeks in a row. If you feel that your eyes are itching or becoming irritated, it is advisable to take a break.

Careful! Use only organic lemons if you want to use their peel. Many lemons found in grocery stores have been treated with pesticides.

Egg, stimulating eyelash growth

Egg proteins help eyelashes grow well. They also contain biotin and B-complex vitamins, which both have an important role in improving the texture of our eyelashes. Beat an egg and add a teaspoon of glycerin, mixing until you get a creamy paste. Soften a cleansing diskette and apply it to the genes. Leave it for 20 minutes, then rinse with plenty of water. Repeat the process at least twice a week, for several months.

Green tea, great antibacterial

Green tea is another neat little trick for longer and thicker eyelashes. It is rich in flavonoids that stimulate their growth and antibacterial compounds. Prepare a cup of green tea. After it has cooled down, soak 2 cleansing disks and apply them on the eye area. Let them act on the eyelashes until dry, then rinse with cold water. Repeat the procedure at least once a week.
