5 Step Skin Care Routine before Bedtime

Do you ever want to have brighter skin or more pronounced cheeks in the morning? Before going to bed, it is essential to follow a very simple skin care routine. It won’t take you long, and you’ll be amazed at the results!

Nothing is better for beauty than getting a restful sleep: the cells are replenished, and the hair and nails are growing healthy. Between 22.00 and 4.00 in the morning, the body produces melatonin, also known as the youth hormone. This helps the skin stay firm and elastic. Therefore, during sleep the skin is regenerated and the wrinkles disappear. Many people seem to ignore the fact that sleep is one of the most important factors when it comes to skin care and general health.

  1. Remove makeup

You need to let your skin breathe properly during the night. Removing makeup and any impurities from your face before going to bed is a very important step. Use oil or cleansing milk and rinse with lukewarm water. Then, cleanse your face with a cleansing diskette soaked in warm water in order to remove any impurities. For removing makeup around the eye area, it is very important to use special products designed specifically for this purpose.

  1. Use a moisturizing cream

It is very important to hydrate your skin every night. Once you get out of the shower, right after you use the towel, don’t forget to apply a body lotion. Use a moisturizing night cream for your face. And, for extra benefits, you can apply a facial mask twice a week.

  1. Anti-Wrinkles Exercises

It si not only the face that requires special care, but also the neck area. Sensitive and thin, the skin in this area dries faster, and wrinkles appear earlier than on the face area. For wrinkled skin, you can try using a cream with kinetin – a gentle, herbal exfoliating agent. Exercises such as neck rotations, performed before sleep, can keep the skin healthy and prevent the appearance of wrinkles.

  1. Use a hair mask

In order to keep your hair shiny, hydrated, and also to stimulate hair growth, use a moisturizing hair mask based on natural oils twice a week. You can find many products on the market, but always try to choose natural ones.

  1. Make sure there’s enough fresh air in your room

A good sleep helps the process of cell regeneration. Always make sure you rest in room with sufficient fresh air. If the air in your room is too dry, it can cause dehydration.

Good to know

A lot of bacteria can accumulate on the surface of your pillow. Therefore, it is advisable to change bedding once a week.

Before washing your hair with shampoo, rinse it with apple cider. It helps in the case of dry scalp and gives the hair a lot of brightness.
