Method of preparation
Add all the ingredients in a bowl and stir well. Store in a glass jar, protected from light and heat.
To make the tea: Combine 3 tablespoons of tea mix with 3 cups of cold water in a pot. Boil the water at medium heat, then minimize the temperature and boil for 10 minutes. Leave the mixture infused for 2-3 minutes and serve it with a teaspoon of honey! For added taste you can add two teaspoons of ground ginger to your mix!
Sweet wood root: other ways to consume
Sweet wood ginger soup – 150 grams of freshly processed sweet wood, with half the amount of dry ginger. Add both ingredients to a pot, cover with water and boil until half of the water evaporates. Drink a bowl after it cools down. Do this twice a day to benefit from its calming effects which can also ease down various respiratory issues such as coughless bronchitis.
Chewing the root – licorice root is known for its mild laxative properties. Some traditional medical practitioners recommend this as a measure of reducing cholesterol in the body.
