3 simple steps for a stronger immune system

Certainly we sometimes need to help our body cope with external factors such as stress, pollution and food additives.

But if you are not yet ready to take more drastic measures, you can always follow the three steps below to strengthen your immune system.

Tricks for strengthening the immune system, which also support the natural detoxification process

  1. Drink a glass of warm water in which you squeezed half a lemon, as soon as you wake up and then continue to drink throughout the day. It is as simple as it is so effective in strengthening the immune system.

  1. Dry brushing supports the lymphatic system by stimulating the lymphatic vessels to drain unwanted substances to the organs involved in the natural detoxification process. You need a body brush that you will use before showering.

  1. Herbal teas are a wonderful way to strengthen the immune system and support the good functioning of the body. Of the variants you can choose, chamomile fights inflammation, senna and aloe vera fight against constipation.

Detoxification, as you know, is a natural physiological process, and the steps above, followed daily, will stimulate the body to complete this process, thus strengthening the immune system.

Immunity: What is and how does the immune system work?

When your immune system is more powerful, the body will be stronger in the face of the disease and will react better when attacked by viruses, bacteria or fungi. There are, however, other methods by which you can strengthen the immune system.

Eating foods that strengthen your immune system will help protect you from illness, but also fight against certain diseases. Here’s what you need to consume to boost your immune system:

  • Raw garlic (if you suffer from gastritis or gastroesophageal reflux and you cannot consume garlic, replace it with garlic extract);
  • Citrus fruits – especially kiwi, lemon and orange;
  • Raw vegetables – especially broccoli, parsley, cauliflower;
  • Quality proteins – eggs, pumpkin seeds, chicken;

Food supplements can also be used to support the immune system, but it is advisable to take them at the doctor’s recommendation. Among the supplements effective in strengthening the immune system are those based on vitamin C, ginger, spirulina, echinacea, supplements based on iron, selenium or vitamin A.

And because we are talking about supplements, remember that in your diet you must find nutrients that have benefits in terms of improving the immune system. Among these nutrients, scientists say, are arginine, omega 3 fatty acids, glutamine, structured lipids and nucleotides. The administration of increased amounts of arginine could improve the immune function in patients undergoing surgery or those who have had a trauma, the researchers say. Also, when at least one gram of Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA combined) are found in the diet of patients, certain changes occur in the body, which are less pro-inflammatory.
